In August 2025, David's family and friends gathered for a concert to memorialize and celebrate his life. David's remaining tonewood inventory is for sale. Most of it is spruce for violin - Engelmann cut in the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho in the 1970s. In June, my wife Rebecca Caron organized a concert with her chamber music series, Taos Soundscapes, in honor of my 60 years as a violin maker. It was a rare opportunity to hear an entire concert performed exclusively on my instruments.
